Yet another 3 more events with satisfied clients...



Yup, as the title said, we undertook another 3 more projects from this fantastic client, PruBSN and they were spread out a couple of months each. If you think this client is easy or "sempoi"... guess again! These people are as professional as it gets. They are sticky with designs, time frames and what we we say we can do, we BETTER be able to do it or else...! But I guess we have a very respectful relationship with each other as they support us a lot. 


Here are some 3 more events we did:

1st is the Super C or the official title is Super Achiever's Conference 2012 where we had the event at KLIA Pan Pacific Hotel. It was a little tricky as we had pillar's where we were supposed to place our rear projection system. We immediately solved the issue by bringing in long throw lenses, AV stands and a even more powerful projector. Problem solved! We had our remote control blimp for the opening gambit, we had CO2 and pyro effects, we even had Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck for the launch of a trip to HK Disneyland. The highlight was the announcement of the World's Youngest F1 Test Driver, Nabil Jefri. Who is now PruBSN's brand ambassador.

Although the ballroom was small and narrow, we illuminated it with our lighting effects and changed the ambience

















Then we also had PruBSN's 2013 Kick Off at the Amphitheatre in Sunway Lagoon which was a first time open air, although we had a roof though... The setup was horrible and dragged for hours and hours as it was raining like it hasn't rained in ages. Our sound and lighting console area was flooded but thank goodness, the water subsided as fast as it rose or else it would really be a disaster.

We built a 2D mock up of the Coliseum and the Leaning Tower of Pisa onto a Italian background. It came out awesome!

Like they say, a picture paints a thousand words...


After so long, we finally managed to bring in LED wals, and it was really needed because of the suurrounding ambient light.

The stage and backdrop with LED lights on the props made it look 3D almost. 



Our most recent event was the highlight of all the events done with PruBSN for the past 2.5 years of servicing them. We had a totally impressive Hollywood themed backdrop with props, we had a Lotus Exige enter the ballroom to ferry the Champions of the evening (we literally took off a couple of hotel doors for this...), we had an LED wall as the centrepiece for the stage, super entertainers like Jone Bond who not only was a great Emcee but also sang and danced as part of his show, "Superman" Faizal Tahir popped in for a couple of his hits, waterfall pyro effect on stage etc...

Prudential BSN Takaful Berhad's Super Achiever's Convention 2012

This was held just last week at the KLIA Pan Pacific Hotel and would be either the 5th or 6th event back to back with Prudential BSN Takaful Berhad. This shows the level of commitment we have at Greenwood Nine Marketing (or GW9 as we like to call our company) to our clients. PruBSN has a huge number of other event managers servicing them but they choose the ones which offers the best in service quality and pricing.

This time around, we didn't just handle the event for the agency side but also for their Brand & Communications department and for 2 different events. The 1st was for a launch of SmartLink and the other was the official announcement of their Brand Ambassador, Nabil Jeffri. He is the world's youngest F1 test driver and he currently drives for Petronas.

Launch Gambit was the introduction of a 10' RC Blimp carrying a plaque.





The Smartlink launch featured a pregnant talent with a 6 year old boy carrying puzzles that they finally fit onto a pop up display board featuring the new product. These talents walked in behind a group of young ladies, middle age mums with kids, young married couples etc.

Later, we had the announcement of PruBSN's Brand Ambassador, Nabil Jeffri.







Then it was all excitement again when the Chief Agency Officer introduced their next reward destination. Hong Kong (including a fully paid visit to Disneyland).

PruBSN's other 2 events that we did...

Here some clippets of the 2 other events we handled for Prudential BSN Takaful Berhad. The 1st was the Kick Off 2012 aptly titled SPEED. They had an acronym for it which I can't quite remember now but it was a catchy conference. This is a must have event in the insurance / takaful industry as here is where they set targets and goals to achieve, discuss where the company is headed and what can their agents expect for the year.

The event was held at Istana Hotel, KL for about 500 attendees.

I liked the backdrop design which we created for them. It had a glow in the dark theme to it like in a Secret Agent movie...

It was a world map with mini AC Strobe lights built into it and would flash at different times.

Being a high energy conference, we decided with the client's approval to invite the top cheerleading group in Malaysia, comprising of the best cheerleaders from different schools, to do what they do best.

Then the next event we did for them is was just called Shopping Sakan 2012, where the achievers were given certain time limit to shop till they dropped at Giant Kinrara after closing hours.

It was an awesome experience for us being inside this huge mall. Best part was it was held during the fasting month.

We set up after 12 midnight and worked feverishly and got everything up and running n less than 2 hours... a record time for us.



We specially made wrist tags with time on them for the judges to see from afar.



It was a mad rush to register as everyone was terribly excited about the free shopping.


I was the official timekeeper and had a reusable air-horn, a storpwatch & a huge flag.


We decorated the venue with a checkered carpet for the start / finish line, had banners up including a mini stage. The entrance into the supermarket was jammed packed with the attendees and their family members who came to give support.




Can you imagine that each of them later went home will all these goodies? Good on the PruBSN for this innovative reward.

Prudential BSN Takaful Berhad's AAPN 2012

Wow.. It's another round for being the Event Management firm handling their year end awards night. This is a repeat client who believes in us and what we can do. In fact this is the 4th or 5th event back to back in every 2-3 months. And believe me, PruBSN's team has been doing this for quite awhile with numerous other companies and the process each time is the same where an open quotation is requested from the others. I guess we alway win because of our smiles ;) ... but seriously speaking, we do smile a lot at their events because that's who we are.

We don't only provide a great event management team with a really pleasant attitude but also at a super good price range. We are noted to be well below market prices not because we don't want to make a ton of money but we believe in nurturing a long term ethical business relationships.

Anyway, this post is all about PruBSN's Annual Awards Presentation Night (AAPN) 2012 formerly known as Awards Gala Night (AGN) which we also handled for them the previous year.

This glamorous event was held at the huge Palace of the Golden Horses, with the theme... Masquerade. Being Syariah Compliant, it was toned down extremely while not jeopardizing the fun and mystique of the theme.


It started with an awesome Garden Party featuring 2 lovely caucasian promoters in costumes giving away custom made lollichocs. We had designer Ottoman sofas in 3 different colors, LED lit cocktail tables for their comfort and photo walls just for the guests to entertain themselves while waiting.


To top it off we hired 2 caricature artists and they were doodling away funny drawings of our guests while they chomped down on the freeflow chocolate fountain with fresh fruits AND freshly made Popcorn. Now tell me you can beat that!





The backdrop featured another 2 more panels on the left and right sides.

Here the design mirrored the main stage and it was made to look like 1 whole single set fetauring 2 more large rear projection screens.

Our designers worked non-stop to get the designs right. It paid off I guess after clients and guests commented on it.


For the opening gambit, we had a professional mask changer do her magic on stage. The crowd just couldn't understand how this was done but we know, don't we ;)


The main award winners were also carried in on a sedan chair where we decorated it with a nice Pashmina picked up from the malls. We had streamers for them once they were on stage.



As for the grand award winner, we threw in fountain pyro effects, CO jets etc.


The entertainment came from Malaysia's leading songstress, Dayang Nurfaizah. She had the audience singing along with her, screaming her name once she hit the stage. I couldn't let up this chance for a photo and a personal autograph here :p




As you can see, the guests came fully decked according to the theme.

PRUDENTIAL BSN'S Super Performers Conference 2011

Once again, handling yet another event from PRUDENTIAL BSN, it was a truly all-nighter for us as we were only allowed into the Ballroom late at night. We rushed the best we could till early hours in the morning when we guests started arriving. By the time the event was done & we started packing our equipment, it was night time. We literally didn't sleep for over 36hours straight!

Here's the story, otherwise known as PRUBSN's Super C, this yearly event combines the movers and shakers of PRUDENTIAL BSN's top Takaful agencies & their respective agents.

Held at Sunway Lagoon Resort & Spa Hotel recently, we saw a strong, motivated crowd of 600+ taking to lots of learning & motivation. They were initially treated to a specially edited Opening Gambit video featuring futuristic scenes of the Formula 1 race in space & also to add to the effects, the Voice Over of yours truly was added in. The Video was quite good if I may say so myself... ehem, ehem... *out goes the stale humble pie...


We also had the one & only Angkasawan Negara, Dato' Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar & also a very well known Speaker, Dr.Niki Shuhada. While our Astronaut lacked the content for teaching selling techniques, he surely did an awesome job at motivating the audience who were, well to coin the phrase, Blown Out Of This World... They were all scrambling to get his autograph and a picture with him. The team had our hands full looking after this handsome space traveller.




Our client wanted an automatic Lucky Draw system and we got them an automatic Lucky Draw system. Using a custom designed Flash program which we have to enter the names of their participants, we pulled a hat trick when their CEO loved it. Do ask us about it ok? Then came the last minute request to provide the added touch for their VIP guests for dinner later that night. Because the theme was F1 Racing, we recommended custom made edible chocolate racing cars with the company logo on it! It pays to have strong contacts...


The end of the event was a surprise beyond the audience's imagination as we brought along Muay Thai boxers from AXN's The Challenger Muay Thai, and they really let fly their punches & kicks. This was to highlight PRUBSN's special incentive trip to Thailand next year.



We guess the event went off quite well because the Chief Agency Officer was so pleased with what we came up with in such a short time (not to mention a limited budget to work with) that he literally dragged me over to his team and said that the next event coming up soon is ours as well! This would be the 3rd convention from the same satisfied client among the many we successfully handled. In fact, a majority of our events are from satisfied repeat clients.
